2021 erode, India 150 sq mNILAI, meaning “permanence” in Tamil, is a memorial set within ancestral farmland in Tamil Nadu. A floating timber roof shelters a copper monolith, while reclaimed wood walls connect the architecture to the landscape. Through natural materials and restrained design, the project explores memory and remembrance.
